VIA Rail trains depart White River 7am Sunday, Wednesday and Friday arriving 8am.  Free parking at the train station.  Trains return 4pm Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday arriving 5pm.  Return fare is $50.  One way fare $25.  Tickets may be purchased in advance at VIA Rail tickets click here using WHITE RIVER as your origin and SWANSON as your destination.  Canadian cash only for tickets purchased on board the train.  No meal service on VIA's White River-Sudbury trains.


Train-in from Sudbury, Cartier, Chapleau or Missinabie

VIA Rail trains depart Sudbury (downtown) 9am, Cartier 9:50am, Chapleau 1:35pm and Missinabie 3:10pm Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday arriving 4pm.  Free parking at train stations.  Trains return at 8am arriving Missinabie 9am, Chapleau 10:30am, Cartier 2:30pm and Sudbury 3:50pm.  Return fare from Sudbury/Cartier FROM $135 and from Chapleau/Missinabie $50.  We suggest purchasing your tickets in advance on-line at Via Rail tickets click here using SUDBURY, CARTIER, CHAPLEAU or MISSINABIE as your origin and SWANSON as your destination.  Canadian cash only for tickets purchased on board the train. No meal service on VIA's Sudbury-White River trains.


Transportation Charges

Airfare from White River    $175 per person one-way minimum 3 guests.   Minimum 2 guests, add $88 each for each direction.  Come in by train and leave by air for extra savings.

Railfare from White River, Chapleau or Missinabbi     $50 per person round trip.

Railfare from Sudbury     $145 per person round trip.


Children and Family Rates

Children rates: under five FREE, 5-11 50% adult rate, 12-15 75% adult rate.  Transportation rates not included.


Miscellaneous

Fishing Guides can be booked in advance or at time of vacation.  Cost is $275 per day for up to 4 guests.  $20 per person for 5th guest or more. Live bait not included in rate.  Cost will be added to your final billing.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

ARRIVING BY AIR

Guests will fly to Lodge Eighty Eight with White River Air. Scheduled flights depart from the White River seaplane base starting mornings at 7am. Scheduled flights return from the lodge starting at 7:30am. Should you be unable to utilize one of our scheduled flights you may alter your flight day or time at an additional fee as indicated per unscheduled flight.  While we do our best to keep to schedule we are not responsible for any delays due to bad weather. Guests are responsible for any motel and meal expenses. There are NO partial refunds because of shortened stays due to weather and/or no refunds are given due to party cancelation related to weather. Should space be available at the lodge, stays may be extended to compensate for late arrival/departure due to weather.  An overnight fee can be arranged if staying at the lodge.  In the event we cannot fly due to inclement weather conditions and alternate rail service is available it will be the party's choice to either wait for flying conditions to improve or travel by rail.

Baggage Allowance (per person)

100lbs per person.

Overweight Charges

Excess baggage may be charged at CAD$0.75 per pound and may not be transported until all other flying is completed.  We will do our best to have it available same day.

Length of Stay

Our available days to travel are Sunday to Friday.  No Saturdays available.  We have priority on Sundays.


ARRIVING BY TRAIN

Via Rail Canada provides passenger service between White River and Sudbury. Trains depart White River Sunday, Wednesday and Friday at 7:00am, arriving at Mileage 88 Swanson stop at 8am. Trains depart Mileage 88 Saturday, Tuesday and Thursday at 4:00pm and arrive in White River at 5:00pm.  Tickets are purchased directly on the train and MUST be paid with Canadian Dollars. There is ample free parking at the rail station.  Trains depart Sudbury Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 9:00am arriving Mileage 88 Swanson stop at 4pm.  Trains depart Mileage 88 Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 8am arriving Sudbury 3:50pm.  Tickets may be purchased at the train station and parking is available.  Tickets may also be purchased online at Via Rail tickets click here  From White River use Swanson as your destination and from Sudbury and all others use Swanson.  There is a baggage policy for passengers travelling by train.  If you surpase it like most do there may be a fee per bag at $3 payable at time of boarding to the Service Manager.  Cash is preferred.

Length of Stay

Stays are calculated by the number of days fishing. Any portion of a day longer than one half day is considered a full day.


DEPOSITS AND CANCELLATIONS

To confirm and hold your reservation we require a deposit of CAD$400.00 per person within 14 days of booking.   We will require 120 days notice to cancel a reservation.  If cancelled wthin 120 notice of your reservation any deposits paid may be forfeited.  

PAYMENTS

Deposits may be made by American Express, Discover, MasterCard, VISA, personal cheque, e-transfer, (Canadian Bank Accounts only) or money order. Final payment may be made the day of your departure by American Express, Discover, MasterCard, VISA, money order, traveller’s cheques, e-transfer or cash. Should you wish to prepay your holiday please advise and we will issue a cost for your prepayment.


GROUP, CORPORATE OR INCENTIVE BOOKINGS
